One beautiful Saturday morning Brodie and I met Ashley and Abby at Wonderscope this amazing children's museum in Shawnee. The kids had so much fun and it was quite educational. They have several rooms each with different activities for the kids to explore. One room had this really neat setup of clear tubing with air flow so when you put a scarf in you could see it zoom around and pop out a different hole. There were spots along the way where you could change which flaps were opened or closed which allowed for the scarf to flow in many different paths. This room also had several lego creations and a big slide for the kids to go down.
Another room was devoted to water activities. This one became a fast favorite of course. The kids really enjoyed playing with the toys and piping and of course making a mess. While we were in there one of the workers was feeding the many aquatic/reptile animals they had in the room.
We continued our journey to the room which contained a play market. There were grocery carts, play food, a chicken coop, register, barn for feeding a cow, etc. We went on to a room full of ramps/tracks that they could roll golf balls down and try to get into buckets. And finally we spent some time in the toddler room where they could climb, run, jump and just play.
After our time at Wonderscope we went for lunch at Applebee's and then home. It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning and we look forward to going back.
