Snowman, Valentine's Day and More

I guess it's time for me to update everyone on what we've been up to. Not a whole lot has gone on, but we have managed to stay busy. In January we got a great round of snow which was perfect for making Brodie's first snowman. He had a great time outside and didn't even mind when he fell face first into the snow. I was a little upset though b/c I couldn't find the adorable snowman making kit my mother gave him for his first Christmas. I figure we've still got time to make another snowman based on the weather reports we've been getting lately. For Valentine's Day Bill and I went out for an adult dinner the weekend before. As much as we love our son I forget how great it is to just get away on our own for a while. Below you'll see a picture of the candy bouquet I made for Bill. I'm not usally a very crafty person so I was quite proud of my finished product.

Recently we've been spending a lot of time with friends and family. For two weekends in a row we've been making plans with our friends the Peoples to go on a vacation this summer to the beach. We all are very excited to take the kids out east as it will be the first time our young ones (we both have two year old sons) will see the beach. We have booked a beachfront home at Kitty Hawk which is a place I've never been.

This past weekend my sister and brother-in-law met us and we all went to the Home's Show at Bartle Hall. Bill is hoping to do more shutter making in the future so he wanted to check out the competition in the Kansas City area. It was a lot of fun for not only the adults but Brodie too. There was a moon walk for him to jump in (and boy was it hard to get him out), a Rainbow playset was set up so he got to go on the slide, and there were lots of puppies up for adoption so Brodie went to play with them (no we didn't bring one home....I'm not quite ready for that yet). Overall it was another great weekend at the Stone household!
