Seasons Greetings to all our family and friends. It has been such a wonderful holiday time for our family and we feel so blessed this year. Our Christmas experience started this year with my Aunt and Uncle and two cousins joining us for the holidays from Germany. It's been probably 15 years since my aunt has spent Christmas with the family so we were so excited they were coming this year. My sister came over early in the week to do a little cookie baking with Brodie to get us into the holiday spirit. Needless to say it was a lot of fun getting messy. Brodie liked to put the sprinkles on the cookies, but didn't have a concept of when to stop. On Christmas Eve we were lucky enough to get all of the snow we could possible wish for this winter. I like the snow, but enough is enough already. I wish it could just snow in my yard and not the driveway or streets or sidewalks. This gave us a good opportunity to test out Brodie's new snow bibs and boots. He didn't quite know what to do with the snow. I'm just greatful he didn't cry when I put him in it. On Christmas day Bill got home around 8am from work (he couldn't even make it to our driveway since the snow plows hadn't been in our neighborhood yet). We let Brodie play with his gift from Santa (a train table set) and all he kept saying was "WOW......THIS IS COOL!". That has been one of his favorite phrases lately. Then we left for mom and dad's to have Christmas at their house. Luckily we were able to make it there without any problems. After a wonderful celebration there it was time to head to Grandpa and Grandma's. My uncle had to take the tractor and plow through first so everyone could get to their house. Then while we were there the roads drifted shut again so when it was time to leave he had to plow it again leaving a 10 minute window for everyone to get out. Christmas at my grandparents was so special (like it is every year). I feel so blessed to have such close family. It really makes the holiday's wonderful when we all get together. We can't wait to see what the new year will bring.
