Happy Easter!

What a gorgeous Easter day we had! We couldn't have asked for better weather. I'm so glad it's starting to warm up because Brodie has so much energy I love letting him release it outside instead of tearing up the house. This Easter holiday really started with some egg dying. Brodie's favorite part was THROWING the eggs in the dye and then STIRRING them around. What a mess it made but he had so much fun. Although the eggs were supposed to be one color he decided to change the color part way through on some so they just came out yucky brown. Oh well, it's a wonderful memory. We got up this morning and went to the kitchen for milk and cereal. Brodie isn't really paying much attention to looking for his basket. All he wanted to do was eat..........that is until he saw something colorful under the decorative tree I have in the kitchen. "Whats that?" he squeals as he runs to check it out. Boy was the Easter bunny nice. He got some sandcastle building toys (for our trip this summer), a magna doodle (wonderful for in the car), some sussers (suckers.....it's really about the only candy he will eat) and of course some bubbles (what is spring without bubbles). Overall I think he was very happy. He and I headed up to my Grandma and Grandpa's for Easter lunch. Once again he gets spoiled. Grandma got him an awesome Nerf gun, markers for coloring, and a bat and ball. Daddy is going to have to start practicing with him if he's going to get to the majors. Great Aunt Linda made us a really cool Easter basket using material from the movie Cars and in it were all sorts of goodies (play-doh, a matching Nerf gun but this one shoots balls instead of darts, wind up dinosaurs, etc.). Great Aunt Peggy got Brodie and Max matching toy golf sets. The two of them were so cute trying to hit golf balls in the house (amazingly no one got hit!). Finally we went on an easter egg hunt outside. Brodie and Max were really the only ones hunting but there was so much stuff they got tired of it before half was even picked up. Can we say SPOILED. Once again I feel so blessed to get to spend this time with our family.
